Shocking: Minor girl raped, killed in Budgam brick kiln, accused arrested, says police | KNO

Budgam, August 03 (KNO) : Police on Saturday morning found a minor girl's body near the Nallah in Hayatpora Beerwah of Central Kashmir's Budgam district with injuries on her body, indicating that she was sexually abused, police said. "The incident took place at in a brick kiln (MB7) in the district. The girl was raped and murdered,” police said as per KNO correspondent. According to the family, the girl went missing last evening while she was playing outside. “We looked for her everywhere possible place but could not find her,” they said. Sources told KNO that the non-local minor girl was abducted last evening and her body was found from a Nallah in Hayatpora today morning after thorough searches jointly by police and local people. 5-year-old girl, whose body was found from Naalah in Hayatpora today morning has been raped and murdered, police told KNO.  Officials told KNO that on 03 July 2019, Police Station Beerwah received a written application from complainant who is a resident of Yech Tambour Sitapur Uttar Pradesh at present working at Brick kiln MB-7, that last evening on 02 July 2019, his daughter, 05, was kidnapped by one person namely Sushil Kumar Chouhan son of Harso Lal of Yech tambour Sitapur Uttar Pradesh, working at brick kiln Hayatpora Beerwah. “We approached the police following which a case was registered and a search operation was launched,” they said. “During investigation, police party recovered dead body of the said girl and sent it for post mortem to sub district hospital Beerwah. Scene of crime was preserved and FSL team was called on spot. In initial investigation it was ascertained that accused namely Sushil Kumar Chauhan after kidnapping the girl committed rape and murder of the girl. Accused involved in offence has been arrested,” officials said.(KNO)
